“We opened our new hotel in Hoorn on 1 July 2014. It has 155 rooms, several bars, two restaurants, a pool on the fourteenth floor, boardrooms and event spaces and even a five-screen movie theatre and a casino. All these facilities let us offer guests the complete experience they have come to expect these days – on the condition that everything works as it should. It would be unacceptable for our IT systems to be down, for both our guests and our own people. The other five percent are taken care of in the follow-up stages. They assume a leading role then as well. They do what they say and they say what they do. No nonsense, that suits us as well. They are truly out to keep our costs as low as possible and to provide long-term solutions. For a family business, that is fantastic.”
