Insides Sales Consultant Jimmy Savelkoul

After completing his studies in Automotive Business Management, Jimmy Savelkoul

transitioned to the world of IT. As an Inside Sales Consultant at Avit, he dedicates himself

to customers in the healthcare sector. He describes Avit as a bullet train where you can experience and learn a lot.

Indispensible

Jimmy wrote his thesis at Avit and decided to stay with us afterward. "It's a young organization with a positive mindset.

Everyone is approachable, even in different business units and at different locations. People enjoy helping each other.

Besides work, there are regular fun events. I had the opportunity to organize a padel tournament myself."

"I didn't expect to enter the IT field during my studies," he says. "It's an incredibly interesting world. I work specifically in the

Healthcare team. We serve large hospitals and healthcare institutions. A robust digital infrastructure is indispensable there.

It's interesting to contribute to that. Sometimes, I also collaborate with colleagues on projects for government agencies, for example."

At the forefront

Jimmy is responsible for the quotation process. "It starts with the customer's needs. Then, the inside sales process

begins: identifying the required resources, determining which specialists to involve, how to shape the project.

I do this in consultation with account managers, pre-sales consultants, and procurement specialists. So, I'm at the forefront of a project.

You get exposed to a lot, which is educational."

What kind of projects are these? "Many clients, for example, ask us to modernize their Cisco environment.

To make the move to the cloud or to meet new security standards. It must, of course, be done properly. Especially in healthcare."

Bullet train

"It's been about a year and a half since I started my thesis here. During that time, dozens of colleagues have joined.

New offices have also been opened abroad. Avit is currently like a bullet train."

In such a dynamic environment, you can naturally learn a lot. "If you indicate what interests you or what you want

to learn, they help brainstorm how to get there," says Jimmy. "There's a vast training portal covering various topics.

If you want to pursue further education, that's also possible."

Deepening Knowledge

What knowledge does Jimmy want to acquire himself? "In the coming period, I want to deepen

my technical knowledge. By becoming even more familiar with Cisco and Microsoft portfolios. Ultimately,

it seems rewarding to sit down with the customer to provide fitting advice, at both strategic and tactical levels.

To bring a smile to their face."
