Avit Achieves CO2 Performance Ladder Level 4 Certification

Taking a step towards sustainability, Avit has been certified CO2 Performance Ladder Level 4 as of January 2024. The performance ladder, an instrument for sustainability, is managed by the Foundation for Climate-Friendly Procurement & Business. The CO2 Performance Ladder is a CO2 management system that consists of 5 levels. Up to and including level 3, an organization focuses on the emissions of its own organization. From level 4 onwards, work is also done to positively influence CO2 emissions within the chain and sector.

The CO2 Performance Ladder plays an essential role in various sectors and extends throughout the entire chain. Avit's recent certification of level 4, not only in the Netherlands but also in Belgium, shows a growing awareness of its impact on sustainability.

The certification level of the ladder, where level 4 of the 5 levels has been achieved, also offers advantages for (potential) clients and society as a whole. For (potential) clients, it has become an essential factor in tenders and contracts, where level 3 is the minimum requirement. In addition, organizations within the public sector are very progressive and are taking measures that influence the entire chain, such as imposing sustainability requirements on the parties they work with. All in all, the CO2 Performance Ladder plays a crucial role in promoting sustainability and stimulates the chain-wide awareness that is needed for a more responsible and environmentally friendly future.

Avit's CO2 Objectives
